I like the idea of people enjoying the stuff I post. But I wouldn't want others to claim credit for it, claim ownership of it, or make money from it. That's why I think it's best to keep an attached accreditation on the image from the start.
Oh, I know, I was only foolin'. It's obviously a wise thing to ask for credit where credit is due. Man, though, that internet sometimes. Gives ya no respect!
It's not the internet...it's the people. Soylent green is the people!
Again, I like the idea that others might want to have a copy of something I drew. I just want to avoid a situation where someone is re-posting my stuff without indicating the source, and claiming ownership or credit and/or trying to make a buck off of it. That would totally bug.
Well, if i ever did want to use some of your artwork, how would you like me to credit your work? Or, would i have to fill out some boring paperwork first to use it? Looking back at my first comment, i felt it was kind of mean, sorry, didn't mean to make it sound that way. I love your pictures.
Hmmm...
ReplyDeleteCan I use this one, and perhaps the last one, as clipart?
anything used elsewhere from this site would need to be accompanied by signature credit and copyright.
ReplyDeleteUnderstood, I would hate for someone to use my art without permission
ReplyDeleteHa ha ha! Oh, Tom, thinking that copyright means anything on the Internet! Ha ha! But I only jest.

ReplyDeleteI suggest that you leave my signature on the drawing.
ReplyDeleteAlso, when using graphics from others, one should credit the source -- in this case, the source is http://cartoonatics.blogspot.com.
As indicated at the bottom of this blog, all posted artwork and written material is (c) 2010 Tom Ruegger.
If my artwork were used for profit without my permission, that would be a bad thing.
