Happy new year Tom!, here is a trivia for you: ¿did you know that in the animaniacs spanish dubbing, the voice of Dot was "Elena Prieto" who curiously also did de voice of Rita?, the reason she did Rita's voice is because she was a singer before getting involved in animation dubbing, Elena Prieto was a member of the venezuelan group "Equilibrio Vital"(Vital Equilibrium)she was the vocalist, maybe that's the reason they chose her to dub Rita, and she dubbed Dot too because she dubbed Babs Bunny before, the same way Thress McNelly did, but knowing about her singing skills, they chose her as Rita Too. Another Trivia fact: Nowadays, most of Latin Spanish Dubbing is made in México, but in Animaniacs Days, it was made in Venezuela, nobody noted difference between Mexican Dubbing, even it didn't seem to be heard as venezolans, venezolan people have very different accent from Mexican people. !That's all for today, have a nice day!
I believe this is the woman JC is referring to. I can't remember who sent me this clip, but I'm pretty sure it's the Central/South American Spanish dub and not the European Spanish dub.
It's funny to see people's reactions to a clip I posted of "The Etiquette Song" from the Japanese dub. The voice of Yakko is Ryuusei Nakao, who is known for voicing villains in popular Japanese series. He used the same exact voice for villains and for Yakko, and for Buster Bunny. When the Japanese "Powerpuff Girls Z" was made, he was the voice of Him.
Having seen these characters in English, it would be hard to imagine the same voice as Buster or Yakko being used for Him, or vice-versa -- especially vice-versa! But somehow he managed it with no real change to the voice.
If you haven't seen it, here's the Japanese version of The Etiquette Song (though of course, all the Western utensils means most of what they sing is katakana-English!).
