  1. Tiny Toons got put on the back burner for me when Animaniacs came out, but since I've been able to see it again on DVD it's become my favorite show once again. I especially like Babs, who I consider to be the best cartoon character ever made. Thank you for all your work on this show! It helps keep me sane!

  2. Thanks Fram.
I agree about Babs. She's awesome.

  3. Yeah Tom, thanks for such awesome shows. If only there were some more today (sigh)

I find it harder and harder to enjoy anything on TV nowadays. (I still like House, Psych, Pawn Stars, TCM, Hell's Kithcen) But there simply aren't any cartoons that I feel like watching (except for that new Scooby Doo series, it's pretty funny).

These shows Tom (TTA, A!, F!, P&TB, etc...) Are what inspired me to learn to draw and animate, Thanks Tom.

P.S. I also like Babs, but I think Slappy will still be my favorite

  4. Yeah, I like Slappy a lot too. I think there's room for both Babs and Slappy at or near the top of a list of great cartoon characters. And, of course, both of their respective voices, Tress MacNeille and Sherri Stoner, are practically cartoon characters themselves!

  5. I think my earliest memory I could remember is watching Tiny Toons in front of my TV in Jersey.

One of the best shows out there, thanks to all the staff who made the show the way it is.

Too bad not all of the episodes exist on a stable format. They should finish releasing Tiny Toons and Animaniacs on DVD.

  6. Hey Patrick! What town? I'm a New Jersey kid myself. Your experience was much like mine...except mine was 30 years earlier. I grew up rushing home to watch Huck and Yogi and Quick Draw. Glad it brings back good memories. Let's hope the remaining episodes get released before the negatives fade!

  7. Born in Colonia, NJ, but moved to Port Mommoth New Jersey later on (Around Middletown or the Jersey Shore).

I still go back once and a while to my grandparents, they live in Union Beach.

    What about you?

  8. Metuchen. My mother and brother and family still live there. Plus my brother has a place in Braemar. Visited in August. Nice.

  9. Anywhere close to the Jersey Shore?

  10. My mother, father and all three brothers were born in Hackensack. I came along after they'd all moved to California in the late 1960s, though, so I'm a Santa Cruz kid. Duuude. See?

  11. Belmar! Correct Patrick! That's where my bros.' house is at the shore. Not sure where Braemar came from!

  12. I was born in Phenix City, Alabama. As well as living there now. It is such a small town.... Y'all.

  13. I'm sorry to bring up this thread out of moth balls but I would like to comment on this once and for all....
I love Shirley the Loon. She is my favorite character from Tiny Toons and I sincerely hope I am not the only person in the world who likes her a lot. She is good, funny, and has a strong personality and is every bit as good as Babs who everyone talks about all the time while no one says anything about "The Loon". I hope this isn't a bad thing but my fondness of the character makes me a bit self-conscious.
Anything, I still think Shirley is awesome.

  14. Gail Matthias -- the voice of Shirley -- should be pleased.

  15. Matthew, be assured that everyone who worked on the show liked and appreciated the Shirley character

  16. Wasn't it you who actually had a Shirley the Loon plushie in his office?

  17. Tom, thanks so very much! :-)

  18. Where those Shirley plushies potential-production prototypes? None ever went to market. I remember being a bit surprised to see it.
