"Tiny Toon Adventures" -- Early Logo

Here's a preliminary sketch for a "Tiny Toon Adventures" logo.  I think this one was drawn by Alfred Gimeno.  Alfred and Ken Boyer came up with a bunch of different logos for the show, including the one that was ultimately used.

  1. I've got to say, that while I think the rings logo was ultimately the right choice since it gave a callback to the classic Warner Bros. cartoons, there is something very cute about Babs in the proposed logo.

  2. How far along was Tiny Toons in the development process when the logo was sketched?

  3. I'll go off a limb here and say I'm not too crazy about the first one. Babs seems kind of Stiff. Other than that, it's nice. I still much prefer the colored rings however.

  4. For some reason it didn't dawn on me that Alfred was an artist. Can deanna draw too?

  5. Alfred Gimeno is one of the greatest artists I've ever met...designer, animator, director, the whole shebang.

Deanna is one of he funniest people on the planet. She's been involved with the Groundlings for years, as both a performer and a director.

I don't know if Deanna can draw. I've never asked her. I suspect she can draw things if put to the test.

  7. While I love the second one (the multicolored rings are a nice touch! :)), the first one kind of makes the characters look younger to me. Was that intentional?
