Birds of a Feather #2

  1. I made a sound. But not a groany one. When I hear bad puns, I don't get all like, "Ew, groany to the max!" I actually laugh. Which I did. I likes me some puns.

  2. I'm glad you made a non-groaning-actual-laugh sound.

BTW, the color job on them gabbing geese took up some time!

  3. Great job! I'm giggling! :)
By the way, is "googol" a real amount?

  4. A googol is, I believe, the number 1 with 100 zeroes after it. The digit 1 followed by one hundred zeroes.

  5. Yes, you are correct Tom.
Anyway, I also enjoy the good (or even bad) pun. I don't understand why some people hate them, a good pun takes creativity.

So you're telling me, that a gangling, Gogol, of giggling geese, gulped gargantuan gallons of gen?
And that the Witty waiter witnessed with wide eyes wondering whether to worry or welcome the gaggling geese?

  6. Yes, and a googolplex is a 1 followed by a googol zeroes. It is believed to be an amount greater than the number of atoms in the universe, though, so it's pretty pointless (and can't be written because a googol zeroes would cover the planet or something).

  10. Heh yep, when my small home town of Santa Cruz had a 9-screen movie theater built downtown, my friend Charlie dubbed it the Googolplex. Just way too many screens for such a small town.

But it had its advantages: Because they didn't have enough things to show on those screens, I saw in their newspaper advertisement that they had a collection of Looney Tunes shorts scheduled for the afternoon.

I went. I was the only person who did. I got a personal showing of several Looney Tunes shorts on the big screen as they were meant to be seen.

  11. Googolplex is, of course, the name of Springfield's movie theater on "The Simpsons." One of the few nerdy jokes they've ever done (normally, Futurama covers that territory).

I noticed the "Platypus Duck" tag. Is the waiter one of them?

  12. yes the waiter is a duck-billed platypus character...
