Sketches, Stories and Other Stuff from Tom Ruegger
Very awesome! I guess I'll have to rewatch this episode again because I barely remember it. Oh, and I love Brain's signature.
Oddly, the Animaniacs comic book used a Pinky and the Brain logo where that was how Brain's name was drawn. Not sure where it came from -- if it was an early logo or just something DC came up with. Also, the writers of that comic first thought Pinky was full-on British.
Wild! And full on British Pinky!Early on, Rob did go Cockney with him now and then.
I'll start the bidding at 1 million dollars! [you guys better out bid me, cuz I don't have it]
I love that cell setup...I wish I had it!:D
This short is great. Nice signature, Brian! I mean, Brain. :) (Zort!)
Wow. What a wonderful cel! I have a cel from the second opening sequence of Pinky & The Brain that was used in Animaniacs and the entire run of Pinky & The Brain's own show! It came with the cel, background, and production drawing! (Although the background was painted on the cel because it is from the scene where the camera pans out of Acme Labs. This means everything on the screen moved therefore everything needed to be drawn and painted on the cels.) It's the close-up scene of Pinky and Brain in their cage and is my most prized cel set-up! It was also one of the few scenes amimated exclusively for the opening sequence!
And when you click on it, it gets really big!
Love this short a lot. "Pinky, are you pondering what I'm pondering?""I think so Brain, but where are we going to find a duck and a hose at this hour?"I remember Maurice said in an interview that when he heard those two lines, he knew he was going to part of something special.
Yup, that was the start of P&B -- Maurice played a big role.
