Here's the logo for "It's a Wonderful Tiny Toons Christmas Special" which first aired on December 6, 1992. This image was used in trade ads, in newspaper reviews, and in "TV Guide" promotions. Whoever ordered this artwork must have requested "extra cel-shadows." That request was granted.
Merry Christmas!
Poor Plucky. I still have the special on video (VHS, not DVD, unfortunately) and the cover is similar to the cel posted here, only the sleigh's not moving, but Plucky's still not amused with his situation. Can't seem to catch a break, huh, Pluckster?
ReplyDeleteNice artwork!
ReplyDeleteThis remains one of my favorite Christmas specials. It's funny, and I'm always a sucker for the episodes with Buster/Babs romance storylines. I guess it's just the hopeless romantic in me.
This is such an iconic image for me. It was all over the place when I got my first animation job at Startoons. Tiny Toons was the first show I ever assisted on. I seem to remember a bit with Luke Perry in it...
ReplyDeleteYes, Startoons animated this whole show! I think it can be watched on Youtube and, yes, there was a Luke Perry gag.
