Where We Made "Animaniacs"

The Imperial Bank Building in Sherman Oaks, CA, where we made Tiny Toons, Animaniacs, Pinky and the Brain, Freakazoid, Batman: The Animated Series, Road Rovers and Histeria. These paintings of our home base were made by Alfred Gimeno's crew. (They loved their Godzilla, especially Paul Trandahl!)

In a music video directed by Alfred Gimeno,  Hildy Gloom (voiced by Kelly Osbourne) sings "I'm Not Very Nice," written and composed by our "7D" series songwriter, Parry Gripp.

 
"A Royal Pain In The Castle"  
Written by Brad Rozman.  Directed by Charles Visser.
Grumpy is appointed substitute King for a Day and must contend with a saber-rattling Gnome King during a peace summit.  

 "A Sneeze in Time"
Directed by Alfred Gimeno.  
Sneezy is allergic to Grumpy's spicy Chilipeeney Peppereenie cheese.  In fact, it makes him sneeze so hard that he sneezes the 7D into the future...to a time where Hildy has taken over Jollywood.  Our crew must sneeze back through time to fix the past in order to save the future.    

"THE 7D" Season 2 Begins

The first new episode of THE 7D Season 2 can be seen on Friday January 29 at 2PM on the Disney Channel.  The second new episode of Season 2 can be seen at 9:30 on Saturday January 30 on DisneyXD.  Yes, two different channels!

SLEEPY AND THE SANDMAN -- "THE 7D"

Stephen Stanton provides the voice of Sleepy and Harlan Williams performs the role of the Sandman in  THE 7D episode entitled "In Yer Dreams Pal," written by Sherri Stoner and directed by Alfred Gimeno.

New Season 2 episodes of THE 7D start airing Saturday, January 23, 2016, on DisneyXD.

We are in the middle of making 20 new half hours of "The 7D," slated to premier January 23, 2016 on DisneyXD.  Will keep you posted on the exact time and date.  Meanwhile, here's a heretofore-unreleased poster I smashed together from Season 1, episode 1 -- "The Littlest Giants," directed by Alfred Gimeno.   

Silver Anniversary: "Tiny Toon Adventures"

Greetings Toonsters!  

"Tiny Toon Adventures" premiered on Friday night, September 14, 1990 -- 25 years ago today!

It began its daily weekday run on the following Monday, September 17th.

Thanks to all who made "Tiny Toons" happen.  

There's a book in this adventure.  Until then, enjoy a few visual memories...

Tune in for "The Rock of Sages," an all new half-hour episode of THE 7D on Saturday morning, September 12 on DisneyXD.  You'll meet...

...The Seven Sages (one is missing, above) who hold the key to saving Jollywood from the Evil Lord Grudgemunger...

This wicked wizard seeks to control all the magic in the Universe, with the help of his unwitting allies...the Gloom!  

Will Hildy become the new Queen of Jollywood?  

Has Queen Delightful's rule come to an end?  

Can the secrets of The Singing Scroll (guest star Paul Shaffer) help our heroes save the kingdom?    

Can the 7D thwart Grudgemunger's forces of doom?

Disney's "THE 7D" Renewed for 2nd Season

We're wrapping up the 24 half hours of Season 1, and starting stories, scripts and storyboards on 39 new half hours for Season 2 of Disney's THE 7D.

Here are the three brilliant directors on Disney's THE 7D series:  Alfred Gimeno, Charles Visser and Jeff Gordon, out in front of the Empire offices in Burbank, where Alfred is happily waiting for a streetcar that, much to his dismay, will never arrive.

This promotional image for "The 7D" animated television series appeared on the cover of Kidscreen Magazine in September 2013.  To my knowledge, this cover art is the only preview image of the 7D characters released by Disney at this time.   This is a sneak peek of the actual new, revised and updated character designs that we're using in the "The 7D" series for the Seven Dwarfs.

This piece of character art was designed and drawn by series director and designer Alfred Gimeno.  The background was designed and painted by series art director Frank Montagna.

"The 7D" is deep in production and is being made at Disney Television Animation.  Disney Junior's Nancy Kanter and Emily Hart are the creative execs guiding "The 7D."   An earlier posting here indicated a premiere date, but that was incorrect.  The series premier date has not yet been announced. 

Disney's "The 7D" -- Some of the Crew Members -- Part 1

For the past year or so, I've been working with an incredible team of artists, directors, writers, actors, musicians, producers and creative network execs on a new animated series called "The 7D," which will premier on Disney Junior sometime in 2014.   Here are just a few of the characters who have come together to help make this show happen...
